About us

WHO ARE WE?


A family size company which mainly produces various species of Eucalyptus in foliage which are collected all year round, and Mimosa (Acacia dealbata) in winter season. These plants - mimosa and eucalyptus, which originally come from Australia, were quickly acclimatized on the “French Riviera”. Indeed, the Riviera offers them a soft and moderate climate as well as an acid quality of ground, particularly in the area called Tanneron.

Our exploitation is located in Pégomas (06580-France) between Cannes and Grasse, 30 km away from Nice (06000- Provence, Alps and Riviera area). It was created in 1925 and has already known three generations of mimosists.

Today, the company functions thanks to the work of the manager, Jean-Paul Reynaud, of his wife and the seasonal personnel.

The plantations of Eucalyptus and Mimosa are divided on an irrigated surface of 24 hectares.

The means of productions evolve constantly:

 - improvement of the access roads to the plantations;
 - mechanization of the clearing of undergrowth parts and maintenance of the fields;
 - creation of a basin of irrigation of 300m³ to control the arrival of water and for the assistance with defense of fires, etc…

This guarantees us the maintenance of the productivity and the quality which enable us today to produce 100 tons of foliages per annum and nearly 250.000 bouquets of mimosa.

 

WHICH ARE OUR MARKETS?


Currently, all our production is sold on the markets of Nice, San Remo and Hyères via the Dutch, Italian and French wholesalers who redistribute it on the international markets (France, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, England and Italy).

The goods are delivered on filmed carriages, in water, by road carriers.

 

WHICH ARE OUR OBJECTIVES?


Diversify and extend our customers while turning towards new outlets: special events, direct sales, farm house tourism.

Improve constantly our production equipment in order to answer the demand as quickly as possible in an irreproachable quality.

 

Our project of farm house tourism is articulated around two axes, the reception on the exploitation and the direct sales.
